This incident occurred in the Jonggol District, Bogor Regency, West Java. Jonggol Police Chief Commissioner Wagiman stated that the identities of the deceased are HT (83) and RT (73). According to local residents, the occupants of the house had not been seen for several days, and a foul odor had been noticed since Saturday (12/7/2024).
“Neighbors smelled a foul odor and then contacted the head of the neighborhood association,” said Wagiman on Tuesday (16/7/2024).
Subsequently, the head of the neighborhood association went to the house and tried to open the door, which was locked from the inside. He then called security and, together with the residents, forcibly opened the door.
“Together with the security guard, they forcibly opened the door. Once inside, they found the husband and wife deceased. The head of the neighborhood association contacted Jonggol Police, and after processing the crime scene, the bodies were taken to Cileungsi General Hospital for examination,” he said.
The initial suspicion is that the elderly couple died due to illness. The family has accepted this incident as a misfortune, and the bodies have been handled by the hospital.
