Jambiflash.com – The mutation of senior officers within Polri is moving again. In the latest mutation, 23 generals are set to leave Polri.
These 23 generals will leave the Bhayangkara Corps as they enter retirement.
One of those retiring soon is Police Commissioner General Bambang Sunarwibowo. A graduate of the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1988, he has been mutated to a senior officer of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Polri. Currently, Sunar serves as the Chief Secretary of the State Intelligence Agency or BIN.
“Promotions and job mutations within Polri are common occurrences to meet organizational needs, career development, tour of duty, tour of area, and the replacement of members entering retirement,” said Polri’s Head of Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho in an official statement, quoted on Wednesday (2/7/2024).
In addition to Bambang Sunarwibowo, another three-star general who will conclude his service is Police Commissioner Suntana. An alumnus of Akpol 1989, he will retire from his last position as the Chief of the Police Intelligence Unit.
Next, Suntana’s position will be filled by Polri’s Head of Professionalism and Security Division, Inspector General Syahardiantono. With this appointment, Syahar, who is a peer of the current Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo (Akpol 1991), will receive an additional gold star on his shoulder, promoted to Commissioner.
Overall, there are four telegrams issued by the Chief of Police in this latest mutation policy. These four telegrams are numbered ST/1236/VI/KEP./2024, ST/1237/VI/KEP./2024, ST/1238/VI/KEP./2024, and ST/1239/VI/KEP./2024 regarding the Termination from and Appointment to Positions within the Polri.
At the two-star level, Polri’s officials set to retire include Inspector General Rudolf Alberth Rodja. This former Chief of Police in Papua has been mutated to serve in the Polri’s Security and Maintenance Agency. Currently, Rudolf serves as the Deputy Coordinator for Security and Public Order of the Ministry of Political, Legal, and Security Affairs.”
