Jambiflash.com – A video shows a man caught on camera attempting to break into a charity box in a mosque. Instead of fleeing, the man pulled down his pants and exposed himself.
The incident took place at the Taqwa Grand Mosque in Metro City, Lampung. The video, which went viral on the TikTok account @maeyanicha, initially shows the man in a green and white shirt caught trying to break into the mosque’s charity box. When confronted and recorded, he immediately stood up and exposed himself to the person recording.
The person recording the video was so shocked that they ran away and fell. It was later revealed that the man exhibiting this behavior had previously been treated at the Lampung Provincial Mental Hospital.
Lampung Police Public Relations Chief, Commissioner Umi Fadillah Astutik, stated that they are currently investigating the widely circulated video.
“Based on initial information from questioning several residents around the mosque, the man is suspected to be mentally ill,” Umi said on Tuesday (July 16, 2024).
She mentioned that the man was also reported to have undergone treatment at the Lampung Provincial Mental Hospital. (uda)
