The employees tested were from the South Bangka District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
Michael YP Tampubolon, Head of Intelligence at the South Bangka District Prosecutor’s Office, stated that the urine tests were conducted by Labkesda Bangka Selatan officers and were directly witnessed by the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) of South Bangka on Wednesday (3/7/2024).
“This urine test was conducted on 59 employees in the South Bangka District Prosecutor’s Office. It included 39 staff members, 19 PPNPN personnel, and PHL,” he said.
He explained that the urine test was carried out as part of the implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2020. It is a follow-up to the 2024 national action plan for the prevention and eradication of drug abuse and illicit trafficking, as directed by the Attorney General.
“The purpose of this urine test is to prevent drug abuse by employees of the South Bangka District Prosecutor’s Office,” he said.
According to him, the results of the urine tests showed that all employees of the South Bangka District Prosecutor’s Office were declared negative or free from the use of narcotics and other prohibited substances.
