This comes in light of an incident involving a boy named Raffi (9), who allegedly became a victim of attempted kidnapping in the Rancabungur area, Bogor Regency. Currently, the police are conducting further investigation.
Rancabungur Police Chief Ipda Azis Hidayat stated that the incident took place on Friday (21/6/2024). Initially, the victim was with his father at their second home in Rancabungur.
“They have two homes, one in Depok and one in Rancabungur. Yesterday, he was with his father in Rancabungur, and his mother didn’t accompany them,” Azis confirmed on Saturday (22/6/2024).
At that time, Raffi was walking towards a local store. According to a housing security guard, there was a man wearing a black jacket riding a motorcycle who approached Raffi, offering him money.
“However, Raffi refused the offer,” he explained.
Quickly, the man grabbed Raffi and put him on his motorcycle, covering his mouth to prevent him from screaming. The man attempted to escape through Gang Bubur towards Jalan Satelit and entered the Telaga Kahuripan housing complex.
“As they crossed Jalan Baru Tajur Halang, the perpetrator (allegedly) became concerned due to many people repairing the road, so he dropped Raffi by the roadside and fled,” he disclosed. (nas)
